Welcoming and Forum overview by Mark Krueger, Carson City Deputy District Attorney Forum Moderator: Barry Smith, Director of the Nevada Press Association     The Carson City proposed ordinance is scheduled for the second reading at the Board of Supervisors meeting Thursday July 3, 2014. The outcome of that meeting will determine whether or not it is adopted before the Forum. The purpose of this forum is to provide overviews of the content of the marijuana for medical purposes state law and local ordinance, and not a debate of positions for or against marijuana dispensaries. Those comments need to be presented to the Board of Supervisors meeting July 3rd. Questions for possible inclusion in the speakers’ presentations, or to be answered during the question and answer portion of the forum may be sent to[email protected]. Questions will also be collected in writing during the forum for the moderator to present to the speakers.
